Took a nice walk around the water today and, as always, we were blown away by the beauty! Just a heads up, they're working around the top of the Preserve and the trail is closed in that area.Full review by dwy44

Great day! It was easy to find the preserve, visitor center and fossil pit. We packed our lunch and sat by the water for a nice relaxing day. Full review by gW970

We used to fish there after dark years ago but not sure if it is still allowed or not anymore. You will need to check with the preserve office.

I've never heard of needing a permit for kayaking. Lived here for 22 years, and the only thing I needed was the kayak. For fishing though, you would definitely need a license. The Preserve …

I've never heard of needing a permit for kayaking. Lived here for 22 years, and the only thing I needed was the kayak. For fishing though, you would definitely need a license. The Preserve is open all year long, though the Lake itself may not be accessible because of the temperature.
