Brilliant to walk the causeway. Castle not open, but staff very welcoming. Interesting two hours spent. Free guided walk if required.Full review by John S
So just to clarify- you can no longer walk across for free, you have to purchase a ticket just to walk on the causeway?

You can walk on the causeway for free - I did so today with my daughter. The tide was pretty high, so at some points the water was up to our waste, but it was quite an experience.
