The city of Pasadena announced on Thursday that the the American Red Cross evacuation shelter at the Convention Center, opened during the Eaton fire, will remain open another week as teams work

Red Cross says no closing date has been set, but a new location is being sought near Altadena. The shelter housed as many as 1,140 people at its peak period during the Eaton fire.

There are still 270 evacuees staying at the Pasadena Civic Center, which has a full slate of events scheduled this month.
