Trade negotiations between the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat have come to a halt due to Jimmy Butler's unwillingness to sign an extension with the Warriors, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler is still looking. The forward's bid for a new team took on new urgency early this week, when the Heat suspended him indefinitely for "intentionally withholding services," meaning he's not getting paid.

Golden State has rotation players on expiring contracts, which Miami is reported to covet in any Butler trade, in Gary Payton II, Dennis Schroder and Kevon Looney. The Warriors also have their own first-round picks each year through 2031, though they will likely strive to protect those in any short-term deal.
