Recovery crews and divers are searching the Potomac River for remains and clearing wreckage from the midair collision of a passenger jet and Army helicopter that killed 67 people. A Coast Guard cutter outfitted with a crane waited by the wreckage on Saturday as occasional recovery team members slipped into the water from smaller emergency boats.

Boats returned to the Potomac River on Friday as part of the recovery effort and investigation after the midair collision between an American Airlines plane and an Army helicopter. The Federal Aviation Administration is now restricting helicopter flights near Reagan National Airport.
