Broncos CB Pat Surtain II named NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year by PFWA
Surtain, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, was also honored as a first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press for the second time in his career. On Monday, he was one of four Bronco players, including outside linebacker Nik Bonitto, punt returner Marvin Mims Jr. and right guard Quinn Meinerz, to be named to the PFWA’s All-NFL team.
Nix, Payton, Surtain named finalists for top NFL awards
Bo Nix is a finalist for Offensive Rookie of the Year, Payton for Coach of the Year and Surtain for Defensive Player of the Year. Surtain is the favorite.
Joe Burrow named one of five finalists for NFL MVP award
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is officially one of the five finalists for the NFL’s MVP award given on Feb. 8. Burrow is a finalist along with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
