One dead after shooting near Forney school; students and staff safe, district says
One man has died after a shooting in a Forney neighborhood near a school Friday afternoon, according to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office. A driver stopped at a Forney middle school for help after two people were shot in a nearby neighborhood Friday afternoon. Two people are now in custody, officials say.
