Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has admitted it's been a tough few days "mentally and physically" but he is now on the road to recovery after undergoing successful surgery on his torn hamstring.

Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness has claimed that forward, Kai Havertz’s latest injury might be a blessing in disguise for Arsenal if another player steps up to take German’s place in the team.

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is set to miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring suffered during training in Dubai, with the club confirming the prognosis days after the initial report.

Havertz, Arsenal's top scorer this season, joins a list of forwards who are out injured, including Gabriel Jesus (anterior cruciate ligament), Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli (both hamstring).
