The military keeps in-flight details on the X-37B relatively quiet. A new photo gives the first look at what the view is from space.

The United States Space Force just offered a rare glimpse of its shadowy X-37B space plane in orbit. The photo, released on Thursday (Feb. 20), was taken by a camera onboard the X-37B while the secretive space plane orbited high above the African continent.

The Space Force's X-37B space plane, launched in December 2023, remains in orbit conducting experiments and maneuvers. The X-37B, designed to operate between 150-500 miles above Earth, recently performed a series of fuel-efficient maneuvers called "aerobraking" to adjust its orbit.
