The director of the 1980 miniseries version has some grievances when it comes to the new iteration of 'Shogun.'

Jerry London, the director of the 1980 Shogun TV show, bashes the FX remake, claiming his version is superior in every aspect.

The critically acclaimed series Shogun, starring Hiroyuki Sanada, will return for a second season on FX and Hulu. The show's creators, Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo are actively working on an original follow-up to the story. This comes after the successful first season which adapted James Clavell's 1975 novel.

"I've talked to many people that have watched it, and they said, ‘I had to turn it off because I don't understand it,'" London said.
