Damage from an EF-1 tornado forced more than 350 people from their homes near Downtown Irving. The storm blew out windows in an apartment building, knocked down power lines and blew over brick siding in the area of West Pioneer Drive and North O'Connor Road.
Storm chances return to the forecast late Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, with a cold front. Lightning and brief heavy rain will be the main threats. However, there is low potential for strong to severe storms that could produce large hail and gusty winds, according to the NWS.
