UNCG led by as much as 88-64 before Samford used its pressure defense to force turnovers and chip away at the gap. A 13-3 run drew Samford to 90-77 with 5:51 to go, and a 10-2 run capped by a Rylan Jones layup with 1:06 to play made it 104-95. UNCG hit four of its last six free throws to hold the Bulldogs off.
