On Wednesday, another college football tradition was impacted by all of the changes. As confirmed by multiple outlets, the USC Trojans will not be holding a "traditional" spring game at the end of the 2025 spring ball period.

In another sign of college football's transformation, Texas and USC have joined Nebraska in canceling their spring games. "No, we're not going to have a spring game," Texas coach Sarkisian told Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams Show" podcast Thursday.
