The Suns made a trade with the Utah Jazz that might just be able to move the needle a tad bit in the right direction for Phoenix. The deal won’t necessarily get them anything today. But the Suns likely don’t ever plan on actually making these picks.

On Tuesday, the Suns traded their 2031 unprotected first-round pick to the Jazz in exchange for first-round picks in 2025, 2027 and 2029.

The Phoenix Suns are trading their unprotected 2031 first-round pick to the Utah Jazz for three first-round picks. The three picks the Suns are getting out of this arrangement will all be the least favorable of multiple picks owned by the Jazz in specific years.

Kevin Durant scored 24 points in three quarters against his former team Wednesday night and the Phoenix Suns ended a five-game road trip with a wire-to-wire 108-84 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in New York.

Durant added eight rebounds, three assists and a block versus his former team. Phoenix split their home and away series against the Nets (14-31), and put Phoenix back above the .500 mark (22-21). The Suns' 24-point victory margin is their second-highest this season.
