Maryland lawmakers, labor advocates and tipped workers shared support during a rally for a proposed bill that could raise Maryland's minimum wage to $20 per hour.

Lawmakers are working to make changes to an amendment passed by voters in 2020, forcing a minimum wage increase of $1 per year through 2026. The amendment to Senate Bill 676 would have minimum wage in Florida up to $13 an hour by September 2026, and to $10.98 cents an hour for employees who receive tips as part of their jobs.
