A stabbing suspect on the University of Virginia campus was arrested Thursday, and one person was taken to a hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

One person is in custody and another is in critical condition after a stabbing near the University of Virginia’s Alumni Hall Thursday, according to Nexstar’s WRIC.

The suspect, Edward Conlin Lee, 44, of Charlottesville, was arrested in the Stribling Avenue area. A spokesperson said the victim and the suspect have no affiliation with the university.
