Extra ''bone'' was detected in axial sections in right side posteriorly during routine control thoracic CT imaging for gastrointestinal stromal tumor. The CT images are examined in coronal sections. Coronal images and MIP images demonstrate that there is an accessory rib joint at the 6th and 7th ribs posteriorly.
