We conduct an online English Dhamma School every Sunday for children on Zoom aged 7 and above, nurturing virtuous qualities such as morality, kindness, generosity, and wisdom in young minds.

Dhamma schools are immensely helpful for the development of moral values of children. All Dhamma schools which have been started with this objective, are being registered in the Department of Buddhist Affairs.

Sri Kalyani Dhamma School was started in 1973 with the guidance of the then chief incumbent of the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya Most Ven. Dr. Thalewela Wijita Dhammarakkhita Thera, with total number of 30 children.

Our weekly 2-hour English Online Dhamma program is specially designed for kids aged 7 and up! Through Suttas and Buddhist stories, they will delve into the priceless teachings of the Buddha while gaining insight into Buddhist culture.

Our Dhamma Schools’ primary purpose is to educate the younger Sri Lankan generation in Buddhism, Sinhala Language, and Sri Lankan culture. Venerable Wanduramba Kassapa Thero started our Heathrow Dhamma School in 2012 with just eight children. At present, in total, we have more than a hundred students enrolled in our Dhamma Schools.
