The IAI Lavi (Hebrew: לביא, "lion") is a single-engined fourth-generation multirole jet fighter developed in Israel, by Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), during the 1980s.

The Lavi program was launched in February 1980 as a multi-role combat aircraft. The Lavi was intended primarily for the close air support (CAS) and battlefield air interdiction (BAI) mission with a secondary air-defense mission. The two-seat version could be used as a conversion trainer.
