Mram
Welcome to the online home of the Madaba Regional Archaeological Museum! While some sections of this website are still under construction, planners hope visitors can capture, embrace, and celebrate the possibilities of this new endeavor in historic downtown Madaba to help preserve the region's past and to provide economic growth for the present.
THE MUSEUM
The Madaba Regional Archaeological Museum (MRAM) will be a state-of-the-art regional archaeological museum that employs best practices to preserve and display artifacts from Madaba and sites in the area bounded by southern Amman, the Dead Sea, the Wadi Mujib, and the eastern desert.
The Madaba Museum
In a period when cultural heritage is in danger throughout the region, this project seeks to protect, develop, and showcase thousands of years of antiquity in the irreplaceable historic, architectural, and cultural remains of Madaba and the surrounding region.
THE SITE - madabamuseum.org
The Madaba Archaeological Park West is home to a wide variety of archaeological and cultural heritage structures. The archaeological park functions as an historical microcosm, showing the long, rich, and diverse history of Madaba’s occupation on the entire tell over thousands of years.

In 1998, excavations began on the west side of the city’s acropolis in two areas separated by a monumental, pre-classical fortification wall. The remains in both of these areas reflect Madaba’s waxing and waning fortunes as a regional center for over 5,000 years.
