Sakhi kandhei (Also sakhi kundhei, sakhi nata) is a string puppetry show popular in the Indian state of Odisha, [1] [2] especially in the Kendrapara district of Odisha. This form of art is still performed by local artists in and around Palakana, a small village in Kendrapara.

Today, there are troupes and traditional families performing sakhi kundhei, some of whom are master puppeteers recognized locally and sometimes nationally for their contribution to the art of puppetry.
