The Notification Area located on the right side of the Taskbar keeps accessed to frequently accessed settings such as Date and Time, system icons such as Battery, Networks, Language and OneDrive. If you are seeing an icon in the Taskbar, it might be hidden.

Right-click on the Taskbar and select Taskbar settings. Scroll down and ensure Use Peek to preview the desktop when you move your mouse to the Show desktop button at the end of the taskbar is turned on.

Feb 7, 2025 · Pinned and executed programs on the taskbar now only show generic icons. That is SQL MS, notepad++, SolidWorks Network License Manager. Resetting Icon cache doesn't help. applying latest Cumulative preview update didn't help. Workaround is to set combine icons to never, which makes the taskbar look like trash IMO.
