The best known Trappist products are the Trappist® beers. Eleven abbeys which are member of the International Trappist Association brew and sell their own beer. The breweries are all equipped with high-quality brewing installations which guarantee the quality of Trappist® beer.

The International Trappist Association (ITA) unites nineteen Trappist abbeys throughout the world, monasteries in which Trappist monks and nuns produce a variety of products for sale. The association is non-profit.

Chimay Trappist® beer, available in various types such as Chimay Blond, Rood, Tripel, Blauw, and Blauw in wooden casks, produced at Scourmont Abbey. The Chimay beers carry the “Authentic Trappist Product” label.

The best known is the brewery « Koningshoeven B.V. Brewery », where monks have been brewing La Trappe Trappist beer since 1884. The monks also make organic cheese, chocolates, bread, and honey, all of which are sold in the abbey shop.

Rochefort Trappist® a high fermentation beer produced by Our Lady of Saint-Remy Abbey in Rochefort. The Rochefort beers carry the “Authentic Trappist Product” label

Orval Trappist®, produced by Orval abbey. The Orval beer carries the “Authentic Trappist Product” label.

La Trappe Trappist® produced by Koningshoeven Abbey, consisting of nine different Trappist beers made with natural ingredients. The ‘La Trappe’ beers carry the “Authentic Trappist Product” label.

After the introduction of Trappist Weiße in 2019, more and more voices were heard asking for another beer made in the Trappist monastery of Engelszell. The monks in particular were looking for a table drink with a moderate alcohol content for their festive and public holidays.

Westmalle Tripel, Dubbel and Extra Trappist®, produced by Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Abbey in Westmalle. The Westmalle beers carry the “Authentic Trappist Product” label.
