In 1988, l’Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) Joined the University of Balamand. The Issam M. Fares Faculty of Technology (IFFT) has its own campus in Beino – Akkar, North Lebanon.

The criteria for acceptance are the entrance examinations assigned by the University (SAT or other Exams), the secondary school grades, and the class rank. The admission formula is based on the following: - SAT results (if applicable) - High school records during grades 10 and 11.

With no other university in North Lebanon and a pledge of 480,000 m2 of land, The University of Balamand would answer a pressing local need to its surrounding community. It opened its doors with three faculties to a few hundred students and a handful of professors.

The courses for the Freshman Program- with a highly structured and challenging curriculum - at the University of Balamand are designed in accordance with the Rules and Regulations set by the Lebanese Ministry of Education.

Acceptance into the graduate program is based on the candidate meeting University admissions requirements and the recommendation of the Faculty Graduate Admission Committee. Admission Requirements

The University of Balamand (UOB) offers financial support to various groups of students ranging between 10% to 100% coverage of their tuition fees. The financial assistance could be of various types based on need and/or academic merit.
