The Whitney I and others have seen lately is surely the same person, but she's definitely carrying a lot of weight and hasn't been acting like that person. All in all I wish her the best. Damned sure gonna miss the trumpet though and the way her vocals worked together with Jesse's.

I did happen to pick up a copy of Brad Logan’s new book this fall and have been listening to the accompanying podcast.

I was lucky enough to hang out a bit with them before a show and share some cigs with them, listen to some stories, etc. They threw me a couple CDs as a thanks for the smokes and took a big group photo with my friends and I as a thanks for staying till 1 for their set. It was an amazing night.
